Night Tour of DC Monuments
National Cathedral at night

Guard post near the Vice President's residence

We were interrupted in our tour at this point by one of the security roadblocks that tend to occur in a city with so many political VIPs. We probably sat at this point for nearly an hour. We had fun making fun of the security. And after all that, all we glimpsed was a distant view of a motorcade heading towards Embassy Row. (Later we found out that it had been the motorcade of British Prime Minister Tony Blair.)
