Ride to the Wall Concert

Paul Revere and the Raiders, and guests

Sunday, May 25, 2003

On this Sunday, Paul Revere and the Raiders performed a free concert near the Lincoln Memorial.

The Raiders:
Paul Revere, bandleader and keyboards
Omar Martinez, drums and lead vocals
Doug Heath, lead guitar
Ron Foos, bass guitar
Danny Krause, keyboards and vocals
Carl Driggs, lead vocals and percussion

(it was really fun to see the preparations for the concert...
and to hear the sound check!)

Paul, making that flag fly out

Billy Ray Cyrus also performed at this concert

Here, he's joined the Raiders to sing Indian Reservation

Nancy Sinatra performed at the show

Nancy brought Ron out for a well-deserved solo turn

The show ended with the National Anthem
(a favorite of mine, the way the Raiders harmonize!)

These are the choice pictures that I was able to take at this concert.

I hope you enjoyed them!

This is the first concert at which I took pictures. And although I did not have the best camera for concert pictures, it's something that I really enjoyed, to the point that I not only invested in a digital camera better suited for concert photography, but I grew brave enough to try making a web page for the pictures. This is the first web page of concert pictures that I posted. This concert and these pictures will always have a special place in my heart.
