Paul Revere and the Raiders
Tacoma, Washington

Friday, May 14, 2004

On this fun Friday evening, Paul Revere and the Raiders were appearing at the Emerald Queen Casino in Tacoma, Washington. The concert was the kickoff concert for the Emerald Queen's new showroom location. There were a lot of people there, though I am not a good estimator of crowd size.

The Raiders:
Paul Revere, bandleader and keyboards
Omar Martinez, drums and lead vocals
Doug Heath, lead guitar
Ron Foos, bass guitar
Danny Krause, keyboards and vocals
Matt Fasekas, drums
Darrin Medley, lead vocals and drums

I'll give the setlist as I go along.

The show started, as usual, with Just Like Me.

The Raiders also sang Steppin' Stone.

No good pictures from Good Thing.

The band played the Theme from "Peter Gunn" as Paul made his way back to Danny's piano.
No good pictures from Like Long Hair either, as I was at the wrong angle.

Danny singing lead on Birds Of A Feather, part of the 1st Raider Medley.

Omar drumming and singing Him or Me, the last song in the first Raider Medley.

The 2nd Raider Medley included Ups and Downs, Mr Sun, Mr Moon and Let Me.

The Raiders switched drummers, with Darrin taking over on the skins
and Omar coming out front.
Omar sang We Gotta Get Out Of This Place,
which was dedicated to the veterans in the audience.

Several shots of Omar, singing on, variously, Fortunate Son; Run Through The Jungle; and Some Gave All.

This song appears on the Ride To The Wall 2 cd.
